Quebec City is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec and is located within the Capitale-Nationale region. On July 23rd, 1951, Quebec became the first Canadian soil to be invaded by the Chimera when the city was heavily besieged by Spire missiles that barraged throughout the day. The initial attack destroyed skyscrapers and residences alike, leaving the city into ruins before swarms of Crawlers were unleashed on the human population that survived the bombardments. Many survivors were unable to hide or escape from the Crawlers. Only very few survivors were able to survive the city while many comatose victims were recovered and rushed to overrun local hospitals.

  • Quebec City or Québec* (French: Ville de Québec, or simply Québec) is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec. It is the largest city in eastern Quebec. Quebec's Old Town (Vieux-Québec), the only North American fortified city north of Mexico whose walls still exist, was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1985. The city has a population of 528,595, and the metropolitan area has a population of 717,600 (2005).
  • Quebec, also Québec, City of Québec, Quebec City, or Québec City (French: Ville de Québec), is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec. In 2011 the city had a population of 516,622, and the metropolitan area had a population of 765,706, making it the second most populous city in Quebec after Montreal, which is about 233 km (145 mi) to the southwest.
  • Quebec was founded in 1608 by nobleman Samuel de Champlain, who had no choice but to stop there since his boat was rotting up to the waterline and his crew was plagued by the scurvy. He disembarked (well, swam ashore) to ask the Natives if they could be of help. More than happy to oblige, the Huron tribe stationed in Kebek (literal translation: "Where the moose are big as fuck") provided them with their highest technology: oranges, the remedy of choice for the scurvy. An incredibly grateful Champlain spent the winter in the Natives' huts, which were heated with deer droppings and the shaman's Holy Furnace, until his magic points were depleted.

When spring came, Champlain repaired his boat with birch bark and pine gum to hold everything together, sailed back to Europe and left a small settlement behind. Although the living conditions were harsh, the French people were happy and learned to communicate with the neighboring Hurons and Algonquins with body language, smiles and punches, and shared their tradition of smoking weed in a calumet. Everything was fine and dandy until the wretched Englishmen came to soil the land with their foul breath and wars.

The narrowing of the Saint Lawrence River proximate to the city's promontory, Cap-Diamant (Cape Diamond), and Lévis, on the opposite bank, provided the name given to the city, Kébec, an Algonquin word meaning "where the river narrows". Founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, Quebec City is one of the oldest cities in North America. The ramparts surrounding Old Quebec (Vieux-Québec) are the only fortified city walls remaining in the Americas north of Mexico, and were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 as the 'Historic District of Old Québec'.
