Paul Byron (born April 27, 1989 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian centre playing for the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. He played major junior for the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2006 to 2009 and helped the team reach the 2008 Memorial Cup tournament. The Buffalo Sabres chose him 179th in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. They signed him to a three-year entry-level contract on June 1, 2009. He was assigned to the Portland Pirates.
