Harad, also known as Haradwaith, was the name of the immense realm located south of Gondor and Mordor. The Men of Harad were called Southrons or Haradrim ("South-multitude"). The worst part of Harad lies between the sea of Umbar to its west and Khand northeast and was divided into two main provinces. Near Harad, which was the closest to both Mordor and Gondor, and Far Harad, which was nearest to the land of Umbar. The land of Harad could be divided into four distinct regions, with a host of sub-regions claimed and warred over by nomadic tribal groups. Wojaczkę toczą przy użyciu wielkich-zmutowanych-słoni-zwanych-mumakilami, które zdeptują wiele wrogich żołnierzy, ale i tak zabijają więcej swoich.

- Harad, conosciuta anche come Haradwaith, era il nome dell'immensa regione della Terra di Mezzo che si estendeva a sud di Gondor e di Mordor. La regione è abitata da una stirpe di Uomini noti come Sudroni o Haradrim (Orde del Sud), i quali sono per la maggior parte malvagi e si sono alleati più volte con l'Oscuro Signore di Mordor contro Gondor. Dopo la sconfitta di Sauron, la maggior parte delle tribù di quelle terre si rappacificarono con Gondor, riconoscendo la sua signoria sia sulla regione di Harondor, a lungo contesa, che sulla Baia di Umbar.
