The Tangie, also known as the Tangi, is an enemy from Final Fantasy III, fought in the inner sea. Tangies are the second strongest enemies encountered in the sea and drop a wealth of useful items. As a Water-based enemy, they are weak to Lightning. They are a bit of a nuisance due to their ability to inflict Sleep through the use of Glare, but are otherwise easy enemies to defeat. They should be dealt with first if possible; otherwise, save them for last, as they only have a 40% chance of using Glare per turn.
