  • Carey Ganton Snr. (31 August 1989 - 23 April 2056) was a Australian politician who served as leader of the Labor Party (ALP) for almost six years between 2039 and 2045, leading it to an electoral "come-back" in the early '40's until the 2045 election, when Labor lost nineteen seats, including Ganton's seat of Benalla. Ganton was born on August 1989 in the Victorian town of Beechworth, before both he and his family moved to Melbourne in the late 1990's. He would later go onto study at the Univserisity of Melbourne, dropping out in his third year of economic studies to join the private software company, Redcat. During his time working for the company, he became involved in the ALP, working alongside many members of Labor Right, the right-wing/centrist faction of the party, and after eight years, he quit Redcat to take up the opportunity to run as a Labor candidate for the seat of Benalla in the 2018 election.
