Synopsis
  • Superman, a prisoner of the Tribunal, pleads not guilty to the charges of killing one billion Kryptonians. He is actually being blamed for his people's genetic link to their planet, caused long ago by his ancestor Kem-L. The furious Man of Steel attempts to break free, but is quickly subdued and thrown in with the other prisoners, among which is Massacre. Lois Lane approaches Alpha Centurion after his televised interview with her former co-worker Jimmy Olsen. Concerned with Superman's long absence, she asks for his help in tracking the captured Man of Steel. Massacre immediately attacks Superman, but their fight is soon broken up by the guards. Brought to trial afterward, the villain is convicted for murder on hundreds of worlds, and his sentence is to be beat to death by a savage horde. Despite Massacre's heinous crimes, the hero feels that his brutal sentence is a miscarriage of justice, and struggles to break free, but to no avail. Back on Earth, the Centurion contacts the Outsiders, discovering that the Eradicator is on the planet Nekrome.
