abstract
| - Gary Sawyer is a defender who joined Rovers on a free transfer in the summer of 2010 after his contract with Plymouth Argyle expired. He rejected a number of offers from other clubs to join The Pirates, and after taking part in the club's pre-season campaign he made his competitive debut in the opening game of the 2010–11 season, a 3–0 defeat at the hands of Peterborough United in League One. He remained a first team regular throughout his two-year stint with The Pirates, although he missed a large chunk of the 2011–12 season through injury. Despite being offered a deal to remain with Rovers, he opted instead to move to Leyton Orient on the expiry of his contract.
