Yao is a giant, boar-like beast. He is referred to as Lord Yao, due to being the king of Mt. Paozu. Yao fought Goku Jr. in Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy, arriving while Mamba and her goons were chasing Goku Jr., and fired an energy blast from his nose at Goku Jr., a daddy bear, and its cub. The daddy bear started to attack Yao, but Yao grabbed the bear by its neck. His hand turned into a root that wrapped around the bear's neck and choked him. Then, his other hand turned into a blade. Before Yao could kill the bear, Goku Jr. transformed into a Super Saiyan and quickly beat Yao. This is the last that is seen of him.
