The Diviner is an Asylian religious leader that has a lot of power. When the Mokai first attack Asylia, he is preaching. He grins as the attack is taking place. When he finds that the Asylians and Mokai plan to form a truce, he has Loden kill General Atta-Kai of the Mokai, one of the Asylian Guardians, and Captain Talan of the Sky Guard. After the first battle on the Bridge of the Ancients, he places Loden in charge of the Sky Guard. Shortly before the Battle of Asylia, he executes the two remaining Guardians and imprisons all the Burners who won't follow him in the Maelstrom Prison.
