This small, cold, and swift river in northwestern Rhovanion was reportedly the ultimate source of the Anduin. The Mithorod rose in the pass through the Grey Mountains which bore its name and flowed just sixty miles before it joined with the Anneithel and other small tributaries to form the Anduin.
