Ellor Street is a housing estate in Salford. It was built in several phases. Stage 1, approved in 1962, consisted of three 15-storey towers (containing 336 flats) on Meyrick Road. Stage 8, approved in 1964, consisted of five 17-storey towers (containing 480 flats) on Rowan Close. Stage 9, approved in 1967, consisted of two 23-storey towers (containing 356 flats) on Sorbus Close. Only one of the tower blocks, Lilac Court, has been demolished.
