Lieutenant Commander Nicholas Fazio was an officer in the UNSC Navy who served during the Great War. He was also the younger brother of Colonel Robert Fazio. Having served the UNSC for several years prior to the start of the war, he was assigned as the communications officer aboard the UNSC Dawn for Dawn. He saw action at the Battle of Jericho VII, battle of Sigma Octanus IV, Battle of Reach, Battle of Earth and the Battle of Installation 00. He was serving as the Acting Commanding Officer aboard the UNSC Aegis Fate when it followed the Fleet of Retribution into the wormhole that led to The Ark. He was ultimately killed and consumed by the Flood during the course of the battle. Following his death, the Fate remained on The Ark until it's destruction by John-117.
