Candy Rasmussen is a popular vlogger and Hero who commands a network of fanatical fans. She uses her vlog, Voice of the Victim, to distribute information about known or suspected Beasts and other threats to her community. Candy's powers manifested in college, when she began collaborating with a shy boy named Jess on a series of vlogs. She began having horrible nightmares, until late one night she stumbled into the campus media library and found it an entrance to Jess's Lair. Horrified at her friend's secret, Candy set fire to Jess's film collection and locked him in to die.

She began having horrible nightmares, until late one night she stumbled into the campus media library and found it an entrance to Jess's Lair. Horrified at her friend's secret, Candy set fire to Jess's film collection and locked him in to die. Subsequently she began using her vlog to highlight the destructive real-world behavior of Beasts she was able to find through her dreams. By collaborating with the Web Weaver, she was able to find more Beasts and rally a larger audience for her vlog, including a number of hunters and vampires. Some of the people she targets are not Beasts, or even supernatural beings, but Candy believes she is going good work nonetheless and deliberately doesn't look too deeply at the consequences. If Heroes or hunters don't kill someone after one of Candy's profiles, a mob of her followers will terrorize until they're forced to relocate. Candy has not personally killed any more Beasts since Jess, but the intel she provides allows other Heroes to do the dirty work, and she often observes kills from a distance and keeps video recordings of the action to enjoy later. She is rarely seen in public without fans, colleagues or bodyguards after one failed attempt by a brood of Beasts to kill her. She is an attractive young woman who usually dresses casually, and carries a camera with her everywhere in her gym bag.
