Kenneth Earl Rice (born September 14, 1939 in Bainbridge, Georgia) is a former an American football offensive tackle in the American Football League for the Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, and the Miami Dolphins. He played college football at Auburn University. Born September 14, 1939 in Bainbridge, GA. Played collegiately at Auburn, was a three-year starter at tackle. Was a consensus All-American his junior and senior year (1959 & ’60). Twice was name Most Valuable Offensive Lineman in the SEC (’59 & ’60). In ’60 he was also named Most Valuable Defensive Lineman in the SEC. Three consecutive years was named to the All-SEC Team (’58, ’59, and ‘60). Captain of Auburn’s ’60 team. Selected to more All-American Teams than any player in Auburn history at that time. Named to the Freshman All-SEC

Played in four-post season all-star games after his senior season (East-West Shrine game, Hula Bowl, College All-Star game, and All-American game). Member of Auburn’s undefeated team in ’58. Elected to the Auburn Team of the Century (1892-1992). Inducted into the Auburn Tiger Trails. Selected as a member of the 1950s Auburn Team of the Decade. First player drafted in both the American Football League (AFL) and the National Football League (NFL) in 1960. Played seven years for the Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, and the Miami Dolphins. In ’61 he was selected to the first AFL All-Star Team. Also selected as the All-AFL Lineman as a Rookie. Retired from football on doctor’s advice after ’67 season. Inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 1989.
