Leroy Magnum McAfee (December 17, 1837 – 1873) served as an officer in the Confederate Army. He was commissioned as a Major on April 12, 1862, in the 49th North Carolina Infantry. He was promoted to the rank of Colonel on November 1, 1862. McAfee graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1858. Prior to his military service, he worked as an attorney in Shelby, North Carolina. After the Civil War, he served as a representative in the North Carolina House of Representatives. He died in 1873 and was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in York, South Carolina.
