Ryun's Shikai actually shrinks his sword down to a daitō (Japanese long sword) with a crimson blade, handguard in the shape of the manji (which is the kanji for "ban," meaning "full"). This vastly compressed power enables to reach levels of physical prowess most shinobi would have their bodies give out at. It allows Ryun to move at very high speeds exceeding those of the Body Flicker technique, and gives him matching agility and reflexes (possibly equaling if not, surpassing Seireitou's speed) along with allowing him to use his natural strength to its limits as shown from how effortlessly he blocked a punch from Jake, an ninja known primarily for his immense strength. In addition, his already immense spiritual energy has grandly and explosively increased, and now has a deep black spiritual energy with a crimson outline. Furthermore, the fact that all of his energy is "compressed" means that usage of his Shikai doesn't expel as much spiritual power as other Shikai from the point of activation. * Bankai: Nibai Makaiken When using Bankai, it takes the form of two Kusarigama-like weapons, each with two blades curving both directions. While in this form he is highly adept at swinging the sword in a large circle, and then whipping it forward to entangle an opponent's sword, or other weapon, or immobilizing his arms or legs. He likes the shape of his weapon because it is shaped like something meant to take life, he is extremely proficient in wielding them. * Shukai: Not revealed yet.
