A cloaking band is a small scale cloaking device developed by the Romulans in the late 2370s to allow an individual to cloak themselves. The cloaking band is a belt like device which makes the user invisible but does not block out sound so it is still important to maintain stealthy behaviour. In 2377, an away team from the USS Incursion managed to retrieve a cloaking band whilst aiding Klingons on the planet Lak'Tral in repelling a Romulan attack. The device was subsequently studied by the Incursion's science officer, Ivan Verov. (ST video game: Away Team)
