Either way, all of her experiences and adventures wind up as stories, poems, or sometimes a clever song. Her knowledge base is extraordinarily ecclectic, including the basics that qualify her as a rudimentary healer if a proper one cannot be found in time. However, no longer a mere Journeyman, Marina was bestowed her life's dream at 21 years of age. As an Ynorian Wordweaver (a title that is akin to being a planetary treasure), Marina is seen and treated with the utmost respect wherever she visits as it is commonly considered a great honor to host the famed writers. Her title and position grant her concessions and immunities not often found otherwise. She has the personality of velvet-covered steel, calm and quiet belying the inner fire and strength that has allowed her not only to survive in the depths of space, but to thrive. Her skills at fighting, however, are sorely lacking. Her entire knowledge base consists only of the last-resort dirty street tricks that she has picked up by happenstance over the last seven years. For the last month, Marina has resided in the VIP quarters of the Dream Chaser. She and the Captain have come to an agreement of sorts. She retains exclusive privacy over her rented domain and in return, Marina promises not identify or use the true names of any crewmember or underground contact connected to the ship and its dealings. While the scribe tries to maintain her distance as an impartial observer to the people and events around her, Marina has become close friends with the ship's mechanic, Serenity as well as the mischevious Loki, Captain Tehran's crow.
