A shopkeeper was presumably the owner and main staff member of a small off-license in The City, main location of the Streets of Rage series. The Spaniard/Mexican was a portly, well-dressed man who seemed to take pride in his limited selection of value goods and spirits. Unfortunately, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time when Mr X sent a hit squad to take out Officer Murphy, a cuustomer in his shop. Witnessing three corrupt police officers murder the civilian, the shopkeeper dived behind his counter, claiming he had seen nothing in an attempt to get the murderers to leave him alone. Unfortunately, one assassin witnessed the fat man grab a double-barrelled shotgun. The shopkeeper insisted that he wasn't going to use the weapon, but the attacker made sure by unloading his gun into the
