George Cregan (December 11, 1885 – June 30, 1969) was a Coxswain in the United States Navy and a Medal of Honor recipient for his role in the United States occupation of Veracruz. Cregan served in the US Navy for 40 years, serving on board over 30 different vessels, and was awarded the Navy Cross for his participation in the 1929 salvage operation of the submarine “USS S-4”. He died June 30, 1969 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. His grave can be found in section 46, lot 1066.
