Darren Marshall is a sculptor and design artist who designed the characters for the Cartoon Network animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Prior to joining the show, Marshall had worked for Industrial Light & Magic, and was approached by Dave Filoni, supervising producer of The Clone Wars, who had seen some of Marshall's maquettes and asked him to come work on the show. In that job, Marshall makes clay sculptures the central characters to the show, as well as characters who had previously appeared in other Star Wars mediums, so they can see how they will look in 3-D during the show.

Marshall has a background in stop motion animation, and previously worked for years at Mackinnon & Saunders in Manchester, England, which made puppets for films and television commercials. He also worked at Jim Henson's Creature Shop, a company founded by puppeteer Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets. Marshall was involved in the production of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Fifth season episode Sabotage, making a clay model of Jedi Master Cin Drallig's head.
