Originally, players who wanted to travel back to Ape Atoll after the Monkey Madness quest used to have to accept Daero's reward first (which includes Attack, Strength, Defence and Constitution experience) or wait for an Evil Tree to appear there. Players who have completed the quest can now speak with Daero and travel to Ape Atoll without accepting the experience reward. This change was made for pures who do not wish to gain unwanted levels. The Evil Tree Distraction and Diversion is an alternate way to get back to the island after Monkey Madness.

- Ape Atoll is an island that is located in southern Gielinor. It is inhabited by Monkeys, who are ruled over by King Awowogei. Its capital city is Marim. It is only accessible to players who have started the Monkey Madness quest. Players who have not taken the form of a monkey using a greegree will find that all non-player characters will be aggressive, regardless of the player's combat level. It should also be noted that almost all of the monsters here are poisonous and can do high damage. Therefore this area is extremely dangerous and players should be well prepared before going here.
- Ape Atoll is an island in southern Gielinor. It is inhabited by only monkeys, who are ruled over by King Awowogei. It is only accessible to players who have partially or fully completed the Monkey Madness I quest. Players who have not taken the form of a monkey or gorilla with a greegree will find almost every monster on the atoll to be highly aggressive towards them. Once Monkey Madness II is completed, however, a greegree is not necessary as all surface inhabitants will be tolerant towards the player (monkey zombies and skeletal apes, which are underground, are still aggressive to the player if they don't have a greegree equipped).

De enige weg (op de teleport na) om er heen te gaan is via Daero (na en onder Monkey Madness). Spelers die terug willen naar Ape Atoll na de quest, moeten eerst Daero's training voltooien. Het was onmogelijk voor pures om terug te gaan naar het eiland zonder de experience te krijgen. maar nu is er een optie bij Daero erbij gekomen waardoor je terug kan gaan naar Ape Atoll zonder de XP te krijgen van de quest. Dit kan handig zijn om Adamant gloves te halen op 1 defence pures.
