There are several locations where bittercap mushrooms can be planted in enchanted soil, completing a fairy ring thus allowing the player to use it to teleport as any other fairy ring. Five mushrooms are required to complete each fairy ring, and the player must have a spade with them, or on their tool belt, to make the repair. (Note that it is the mushrooms themselves, not the spores that are used). The locations of the incomplete fairy rings are as follows: * The Ancient Cavern (Code: ) * The Kharazi Jungle (Code: ) * The Lost Grove (Code: )

  • It may be grown from a bittercap mushroom spore (taking up to 240 minutes to grow) by players with level 53 Farming in the mushroom patch near Canifis and in the patch in Isafdar. This may yield up to six mushrooms. Mushrooms are also dropped, one to three at a time, by cockroach soldiers. They are an uncommon drop. Players with at least 74 farming are advised against planting these, as growing Morchella mushrooms are far more profitable.

abstract
  • It may be grown from a bittercap mushroom spore (taking up to 240 minutes to grow) by players with level 53 Farming in the mushroom patch near Canifis and in the patch in Isafdar. This may yield up to six mushrooms. Mushrooms are also dropped, one to three at a time, by cockroach soldiers. They are an uncommon drop. Mushrooms do not usually sell very quickly. One counter-example is on 3 December 2009, when Jagex introduced fairy ring with code •• in the Ancient Cavern that must be planted with 5 mushrooms in order to function. This caused the mushrooms to sell extremely quickly around that time. Players with at least 74 farming are advised against planting these, as growing Morchella mushrooms are far more profitable.
