As always, Megadroid is the most important staff member in the STC offices - it's him that has to make the coffee, post letters, lick shoes. The last straw is when one of the Humes tells him to heel his boots. Megadroid decides to leave, taking with him a photo of STC's third birthday (although the lights were off, so the photo is black). Wishing to get a job where he's respected, Megadroid decides to work at a railway station, hoping to work with the computerised equipment. Unfortunately, his talents only stretch to pushing the trolley on the trains. Later, Megadroid sees an advert for cruises and gets a job on an exotic tour. Unfortunately, his idyllic dream is ruined by becoming an inept waiter and he is kicked out into the sea.

Megadroid washes up in the seaside town of Pomfret-on-Sea and decides to take a stroll on the seafront. Things start looking up when he notices a Female Megadroid in a Computer Repairs shop. Even better, Megadroid gets a job repairing computers. Later, as Megadroid provides his droid friend with some oil, he accepts an invitation by the female droid to see "Judge Droid" at the cinema. Unfortunately, he is left annoyed when he doesn't offer him any plastic chips. The situation worsens at the Techno Toes disco bar; Megadroid sulks at a table whilst the Female Megadroid dances, irritated that he didn't oil his joints before leaving STC. As Megadroid takes his friend home at the end of the night (still having had no plastic chips), he decides he should go back to what he knows best and heads home. Since there are no trains or buses, Megadroid decides to travel by power line. Arriving at the STC offices, Megadroid wonders how he'll explain his absence and if they'll take him back. Fortunately, a welcoming party has been held in his honour and he's just in time to make the coffee.
