Characters may have multiple messages in the town crier system, and all messages will persist through a server reset. Town Criers would travel around and hit a gong, announcing the news of the day. The information in Rokugan would often run through town criers, and they were often hired to scream advertisements for local businesses. A town crier, often shorten as crier (also stylized as cryer), is an officer who makes public pronouncements as required by the court.
