The first centre was founded in the town of Ponoka, Alberta, Canada, and opened in June 2002. A second centre opened in Medicine Hat, Alberta, in June 2006 and a third centre, also in Medicine Hat, is now under construction. Though the centre is a Christian charity it is run inter-denominationally.
