Konosha (Finn. Konosa) is a Uralican city, which is the second-largest settlement in Woodlands after Veliski. It sits on Highway UH-17. It was founded in 1898 as a railway station along a rail line running from Yaroslavl to Arkhangel'sk, but has since diversified into a multi-industrial city, with food production, machine-building, print and publishing, domestic forestry production, and agricultural machine repair being large sectors in the economy. On top of that, Konosha has the largest metal-recycling sector of any city in western Uralica, taking in as much as fifteen times the amount of metal that larger centres such as Vologda, Cherepovets, and Murmansk do.
