  • Weaponoids were first conceived by the Central Research Department. In a secret facility referred to as the "E.M.A. Facility', the Weaponoids, personifications of Chips that are weapons sealed into Chip form, were created as the next advancement in Chip technology started by Dr. Cohen. To manifest as humanoids, Weaponoids draw on a large quantity of Photons to give them substance. When they were first created, Weaponoids initially were uncontrollable. Their volatile natures led them to go on a rampage, attacking friend and foe alike as they wrecked the facility. Many feared that they could not be controlled, or that they could be used for evil purposes. However, Zakard, a researcher at the E.M.A. Facility, believed in the good the Weaponoids could bring. Amidst the disaster, he altered the memories of a young girl known as Gene and forced her to leave the facility in a desperate attempt to protect her from those that could misuse her.
