| - Cassandra Dance was a commissioned officer of the Army Special Activities Battle Expeditionary Regiment of the Galactic Empire Special Operations Command, and was a member of the elite Joint Special Operations Task Force 452. She was reputable for being the granddaughter of Villian Dance and Teela Kaarz. Dance's proficiency testing prior to entering the Imperial Navy commended her highly for both technical aptitude and reflexes — a strong background strongly suggestive of Flight School, where Dance would train to become an ace pilot of the TIE Predator, the Navy's principal space superiority starfighter. In the tradition of her family, as her grandfather, Villian Dance, had been an extraordinarily talented pilot during the Galactic Civil War, Dance was almost certain, by means of personal merit and inherited infamy, to enter Flight School. However, at this time, the Galactic Empire Special Operations Command had become extraordinarily prestigious and politically-powerful: whoever or whatever they wanted, they could have. Therefore, by this cruel trick of fate, instead of entering the Imperial Naval Academy alongside millions of other prospective TIE Predator pilot candidates, she would be transferred to attend the 2nd Special Forces School on Anaxes, training to enter Imperial Naval Special Warfare, the Navy's principal special operations force. Graduating in 125 ABY as a Junior Lieutenant of Naval Special Warfare, she would become the first in her family to join the Imperial Special Forces. Serving as a commissioned officer within Naval Special Warfare, she would be noted as adroit and tactically-dexterous, becoming notable for having a rare talent in the Special Forces — although distraught that she her expectation of becoming an expert pilot had been obviated, unlike many of her colleagues, Dance possessed a predilection towards delicacy: not the brutish application of force to liberally solve situations. As a detachment commander, Dance would negotiate the successful resolution of a terrorist hijacking of a Hutt space yacht without a single shot fired, as well as a string of several other minor victories. As a result, she was often prematurely-promoted, and was celebrated and commemorated for her cool head and her use of ancillary strategies to defuse situations without the application of force — a trait far too uncommon in the aggressive and masculine Imperial Special Forces. By 136 ABY, Cassandra attained the rank of full Commander in the Imperial Navy, prematurely promoted beyond her years. For this, by the order of the Special Operations Command, she would be nominated and accepted by her parent organization, Naval Special Warfare, to become a force commander for the prestigious and clandestine Joint Special Operations Task Force 452, the joint Imperial Special Forces—Sith task force tasked with assassinating Roan Fel and his treacherous attendants. However, her command over certain JTF 452 operators was tenuous: the overwhelming majority of them were Saber Force operators, trained with fighting on the ground and prosecuting clandestine and brutal combat actions, and this was in sharp juxtaposition with Commander Dance's more genteel nature. She would serve alongside Sergeant Major Aiden Page during Joint Special Operations Task Force 452's various campaigns, holding joint command of various Saber Force detachments alongside Page. However, due to Page's vastly great experience and age, often, direct situational command would be relegated to him, with her, a Navy Commander, nominally in command of units, but with Page attributed with operational command in the field.
