Jefferson Finis Davis (June 3, 1808 – December 12, 1855) was an English statesman a role player in First Mexican War, serving as English Imperial Ambassador to Mexica from 1852-1855 to his assassination. He served this term for most of the span of the war, which was very successful for the end.
