  • The Ark is a piece of lost technology that Knives Millions uses to absorb all the plants from Planet Gun Smoke. In its original form it is a part of a larger fallen ship that Knives has fixed to travel in. After absorbing numerous plants the Ark becomes the center of a larger plant being controlled by Knives. It is eventually taken down by a combined effort of Vash the Stampede, Earth's Forces and the collective consciousness of the humans from Gun Smoke.

  • The Ark is the building that serves as a storehouse for the village of Sparks. Kenny tells Doon that the front doors once had 'eyes' that could tell when you were coming (a primitive explanation of automatic doors). A partially unreadable sign above the door says 'UPE ARK', but because no one knows what it means, they just call it the Ark. It was like once a grocery store (SUPER MARKET). At the end of [[The Diamond of Darkhold, a library is created out of the building's back room, lit by the solar-powered diamonds.
  • Derived from a Latin word for "chest" (see also the Ark of the Covenant), an ark is now best known as a vessel (usually a boat, or at least boat-shaped) in which people seek sanctuary from some great cataclysm. Compare Generation Ships and Fling a Light Into the Future. Examples of The Ark include:
  • The Ark was first introduced during the Ministry of Defense level, in which Vyacheslav Grinko was discussing its purpose with Philip Masse. This conversation was overheard by Sam Fisher by means of the Laser microphone. It seems, however, that neither Grinko or Masse knew what the Ark actually was. It seems that Grinko wanted knowledge of the Ark for insurance against Nikoladze, and even was so desperate that he contacted one of his men at Kalinatek to use Mitchell Dougherty's data leak from CIA Headquarters (referred to by them as little birdie) to discover its identity.

  • . The Ark is a large Forerunner piece of shit used for controlling all of the Hula Hoops in the galaxy. It is out of range of the Hula-Hoop Array, this would have been a very useful feature if the Forerunner weren't so stupid and hid there while they fucked up everyone elses' lives. Instead, they saw fit to spend their time filling it with pretty rocks assumed to be Onyx, which are of no use to anyone even if they did make it to the Ark. They also decided to use their vast intellect and precious time turning it into a big Halo maker, yet did not take the time to even build a Starbucks. This therefore qualifies the Forerunner as the dumbest smart people who ever lived. However some useful features include a giant portal to Earth just in case they needed to pop out for milk (even if the Floo

  • So, the TARDEZZ lands on a space ark in the far far future where humans are being carried across light years to their new home after Earth became uninhabitable. Dohdoh is carrying a cold and accidentally infects the future humans and their buttbuddies the Monoids, both of whom have been free from illness for hundreds of years and thus have crap immune systems. The Doktah then has to fix her shit and come up with a cure. He does just that and leaves.
