Gordon played one game in semi-finals for the Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings in 1950. Haidy's name was not included on the Stanley Cup, because he was not a regular member of the Red Wings. Haidy did qualify to be on the cup, and the NHL credits him with winning one Stanley Cup. He was suspended for the entire 1951-52 season for refusing to report to the Indianapolis Capitals. Haidy never played the another game in the NHL, but played many years in the minors, and senior hockey in the Ontario Hockey Association.
