Throughout its operational history, the 24th tended toward assignments that saw them serving aboard various command ships of the Republic Navy. Like all Marine starfighter units, they were also assigned to outpost duty when the need arose. The squadron participated in the effort by the Republic armed forces, spearheaded by the battalions of the 11th Marine Division, to end the Kanz Disorders. Lending themselves to the close-air support and space interdiction roles, they helped Jedi Knight Mari-Elan Nora in bringing peace to the Kanz sector and liberating the planets of Lorrd and Amaltanna.
