| - EHF launches new Twitter media service 4/26/2012 The European Handball Federation has launched a Twitter channel aimed specifically at journalists and the media. The new Twitter channel “@EHFMedia” has been developed by the EHF Media and Communications Department, based at the EHF’s headquarters in Vienna, Austria (also known as ) File:Flag of Austria.svg. The new service is aiming to keep the media fully informed with the latest news and announcements from the EHF, as well as media specific information such as accreditation launches, links to information packs and availability of photographs for use by the media. EHF Head of Media and Communications, JJ Rowland, said: “We have been trialing the service over the last weeks, tweeting live from several events including the recent EHF European Championship draw in Copenhagen. So far we have received a lot of positive comments from our colleagues in the media. “The immediacy of Twitter is helping us to get our announcements and news out to our media network as quickly as possible. The ability to post photographs during media events is also great because it helps give our audience a visual context to what is happening.” The EHF Media and Communications team will be tweeting live from a number of EHF events over the next few months, including the VELUX EHF FINAL4 draw on 2 May 2012 in Cologne, the event itself on 26/27 May as well as the EHF Ordinary Congress in Monaco on 22/23 June 2012.
