The Korribanites were the original inhabitants of the planet Korriban. They were an apelike species. They were thought to have been killed in some cataclysmic event, prior to the Original Sith becoming the dominant species. In truth, they, the Original Sith, and the Massassi fled to the underground caverns of Korriban to escape the Sith followers. This mass evacuation was based on a prophecy from an Original Sith named, Oig Lrack. When Nathan went to the Court of Yun-Coria, the combined races followed him and attacked the Yuuzhan Vong and Sith at the apropos moment.

They were thought to have been killed in some cataclysmic event, prior to the Original Sith becoming the dominant species. In truth, they, the Original Sith, and the Massassi fled to the underground caverns of Korriban to escape the Sith followers. This mass evacuation was based on a prophecy from an Original Sith named, Oig Lrack. The combined races then hoped and prayed for their prophesied saviors. (This was another part of the prophecy.) Also accompanying them were recently freed slaves of the Sith followers. They included Ryn, Humans, and Kaleesh. Their saviors came after the Original Sith San-Props and the Korribanite Cornelius, found a group of Jedi. The Jedi included Jedi Masters Nathaniel Kenobi Solo, Hivrekh'wao'cheklev, and Kyle Katarn, Jedi Knight Jaden Korr, Jedi apprentices Tenel Ka and Valin Horn, as well as the Ryn spacer Orroz. The Jedi met with the combined species's Council and agreed to help them, if they would help the Jedi to defeat the Yuuzhan Vong and a new batch of Sith followers, under Darth Mutatos. When Nathan went to the Court of Yun-Coria, the combined races followed him and attacked the Yuuzhan Vong and Sith at the apropos moment. After the short skirmish, the Jedi promised not to reveal their secrets and departed for Eclipse. It is theorized that the Korribanites and the other races, were attacked by the Sith during the Battle of Korriban, as part of the Sith crusade of Darth Abeonis.
