| - thumb|right|Randy Couture Randy Duane Couture (nació el 22 de junio de 1963) es un ex-luchador de lucha libre greco-romana y actual luchador profesional de artes marciales mixtas, ex-campeón de la UFC en la categoría de peso pesado y miembro del salón de la fama de esa organización. Él es el único atleta que ha ganado títulos del campeonato en ambas divisiones, peso completo y peso pesado, también como el único 5 veces campeón en la historia de la UFC, ganándose así los apodos como “El natural“ y más adelante, ”Capitán América". Él junto con Roberto Follis, dirigieron alguna vez el “team quest” gimnasio de luchadores, situado en Gresham, Oregón. En 2005, Couture se mudó a Las Vegas, donde reside actualmente. Dejó al “team quest” y abrió un nuevo gimnasio de Artes Marciales Mixtas llamado “LEYENDAS” En Hollywood, California con su buen amigo Bas Rutten, la WFA y el gimnasio del escuadrón antibombas en los Ángeles. Randy Couture vivió en Corvallis, Oregón la mayor parte de de su carrera profesional, donde también trabajó como asistente del entrenador de lucha en la Universidad de estado de Oregón. El método preferido de Randy para atacar dentro de las artes marciales mixtas es en el suelo y con el peso, en donde el combatiente utiliza su capacidad de lucha intentando establecerse en la parte superior del contrincante y sucesivamente tirando golpes. Couture ha demostrado gran variedad de técnicas entre ellas Muay Thai y Jiu Jitsu brasileño, y ha sometido a dos de sus oponentes con estrangulamientos. Recientemente obtuvo la victoria de una espectacular pelea contra Gabriel Gonzaga, en la que éste último se vio muy afectado debido a los diversos golpes recibidos por parte de Randy, terminando la misma a chorradas de sangre y con la nariz rota. Se retira del UFC debido a que Fedor Emelianenko no firmo para la UFC y las palabras de Randy al oír esto fueron "si no puedo pelear contra Fedor, no tengo más nada para demostrarle a las artes marciales mixtas" y quiere comenzar una carrera como actor, presento su jubilación por así decirlo, por medio de un fax, algo que no le gusto mucho a Danna White, actual presidente de UFC. El 15 de noviembre, 2008, se enfrentó a Brock Lesnar, ex luchador del WWE, por el campeonato del UFC, de donde salió derrotado, perdiendo así el título que ostentaba hasta la fecha. Su derrota se percibe como un doble fracaso, dado que sus posibilidades de tener un brillante retiro fueron opacadas seriamente al haber disminuido notablemente el interés en una pelea contra el´"último Emperador" Fedor Emilanenko, el cual estará sin duda interesado en mantener una lucha contra el campeón reinante de la UFC.
