The swamps were the site of a famous race between Dengar, a cult hero of the professional racing circuit, and another youth named Han Solo, from the private circuit. Tired of constantly being compared to Solo, Dengar challenged his rival to a winner-takes-all race through the dangerous swamps. During the race, Solo's Stabilizer fin became entangled with Dengar's, causing Dengar to lose control and crash. The Dragonbane circuit was also located in this region. At some point before 29 BBY, Agrilat was also known for producing mouth-loosening drugs.
