Shifina was an elderly enchantress mentioned in the At the Crossroads scenario in the Price of Peace campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. When Emilia fled from Enroth during the Reckoning, she was still just a child, and would have died if Shifina had not shown kindness to her and protected her like a mother. Sadly, Shifina was very old, and age soon claimed her, leaving Emilia alone. When a group of barbarian raiders threatened the town, it was easy for Emilia to leave Shifina's home, since there was very little left to keep her there.

Soon afterwards, Emilia grew tired of fleeing, and decided to fight back against the barbarians and robber barons that tried to rule their lives. Her actions eventually led to the creation of the nation of Great Arcan, which she ruled as queen.
