The Mardi Gras by Duncan was a yo-yo designed to appeal to girls with its bakelite-look and was released before the Duncan bankruptcy. Featuring solid plastic halves in an imperial configuration with a metal axle, the small, thin yo-yo was capable of long spins. No two yo-yos were alike, with pieces of confetti, bakelite, plastic and glitter embedded in the hard plastic. The logo was stamped on the yo-yo, and was imperfect in many cases due to the exceptional hardness of the material.
