At 1100, the Hellulandis explorer Halfdan Erikirsson drew the first map of the whole known world. The Sørsjør (Great Lakes) appear in the maps for first time. The names in the map are in the Vinlandish old language, and even now is considered one of the greater works of Viking primitive cartography. The Innu join slowly in the kingdom of Markland. Other tribes fled to Skræland and were absorbed or defeated for the Dorset. The last resistant tribes broke the expansion in the frontier between Markland and Vinland. The Vinlandic lenmenn defeated them in 1103, expanding their dominions to the south of Markland and Vanlland (Land of Plains). Eystein of Vinland, the Explorer, traveled to the southern Vanlland, establishing colonies along the coast. He died at 1106, and was succeeded by his son Erik II. Sigurd of Helluland died on 1107, and was succeeded by his son Sweyn, who expand their territory in the northern Skræland. Sweyn II, Jarl of Skræland, also expanded his own territory to north, moving the border to Dorsetian land. At 1110, Cnut II of Markland reclaimed the throne of Grønland. The council became allied of Vinland. In the war, the Kingdom of Dorset betrayed Markland, but did not attack it. The kingdom expanded to south, founding the port of Harsødir (Southern Haven) in the coast of the lake Superior. There they established contact with the Wyandot and other tribes. Even the last Beothuk remnants had been absorbed. The war ended in a Marklandish defeat at 1113. Svend expand the council's dominion to north and the Vinlandish absorbed the mostly of Markland's territory out the peninsula. Kawawachikamach was too benefited, although it was in the Markland's side. The king Cnut II converted them in his most confidential allies, and the king Cnut III gave them more lands and new nobility titles and privileges in the kingdom. At 1119 the Jarldom of Skræland got its independence from Helluland. The king Thorsteinn II was finally appointed king at 1123, ending the anarchy period posterior to the war (and low trade) in the south and the scission of Skræland. At 1124, were registered the first indigenous uses of modern technology. The Skrælings started to use ships, build towns, form hierarchies, forge metal and accept the Viking religion.
