  • After the formation of a personal union between J Andres and Vinsalia under Phillippe, many Vinsalians were not pleased with the new combined political system, and they formed a political party to try to wrest control from the J Andres factions. The Vinsalian National Party (VNP) wanted to leave J Andres and self-govern. Additionally, they wanted to be free from hereditary rulers and live in a true representative democracy. The party was a minority party throughout its existence. It's best performance was in 2090 where they won 35 seats in the Commune. The party was dissolved in 2101 after a poor showing in 2100 where they earned only 2 seats in the Commune. Most former Vinsalians were pleased with the ruling Labor party, lead by descendants of their former King Gabriel.
