Normally, jutsus are limited in power to the amount of chakra capacity any giver person has. Raijū, however, calls on the external lightning and external fire, which in terms of a lightning and fire jutsu, makes it far superior to any other. However, the extreme preparation time required also decreases the technique's efficiency. This technique in the absence of active thunder clouds requires a fire jutsu to heat up the atmosphere to initiate the lightning storm, and then to take control of lightning in order to guide it to a target while using the shape manipulation shown above, drained even Seireitou of most of his chakra, in addition, usage seems to destroy the thunder clouds as the sky cleared up of clouds after use. Though their precise ranking relative to other monsters is left unclear, given the levels of energy that they can reach, such as that seen with Raika, it is possible that as whole, their ranking level is more of a spectrum than a specific classification. This fact is something that is shared with other monsters, such as the Yasha and more notably the most common type of monster, the Monstrels. Like those other species, their power levels would vary, ranging from moderate to higher levels, even reaching those that are usually enjoyed by S-Class monsters.
