| - King Neptune is the ruler of the entire ocean. Everyone fears him greatly. He has powers that can zap anyone, destroy anything, transform one thing into another, etc. He has a different look in the movie, probably because that is an older version of him. Neptune has two children, Prince Triton and Princess Mindy, and a wife named Queen Amphitrite. To him, being the king of the sea is nothing more than the love for his family. He is voiced by John O'Hurley.
- The King of the Sea becomes enraged when lustful pirates threaten violence and rape against his innocent mermaids. Creatures of the deep rise to do Neptune's bidding, and soon, the pirate ship lies on the ocean floor. Peace and harmony are restored.
- King Neptune was the grandfather of King Triton. He was also the father of Poseidon, and the great-grandfather of Ariel. He was the first King/God of the Sea. His character is based on Oceanus and Neptune, the two sea gods. Oceanus was the uncle of Poseidon, in some myths.

- King Neptune was a powerful ancient sorcerer who acted as the protector of the seas in his own time. He was in effect a predecessor to Aquaman. Whether he was affiliated to the deity Neptune/Poseidon was not explained in his backstory.
- King Neptune was the god of freshwater and the sea in Roman religion. He is the counterpart of the Greek god Poseidon. In the Greek-influenced tradition, Neptune was the brother of Jupiter and Pluto; the brothers presided over the realms of Heaven, the earthly world, and the Underworld. Salacia was his consort. Director Nicholas Buffalo voices King Neptune at the end of Wiggle Bay.
- King Neptune was the biggest Neptune (great white shark infected with t-virus) at the Raccoon City docks. His first victim was Gary, the keeper of the docks. After him and the other neptunes arrived at the pier of the University and killed 36 students it was closed. When King returned to the pier he killed Shinji Suzuki in the front of his daughter, Yoko Suzuki. In the total, he killed 53 people.

His next appearance was in the episode Party Pooper Pants, where he was a real life person with white hair. The only explanation possible for these frequent appearance changes was given in the episode Krusty Towers, where Squidward asked for a change in his Krusty Towers Hotel room to the theme 'Neptune the XIV would be nice', when the makeover was complete it had a portrait of the original Neptune. This suggests that there has been more than one King Neptune and that there is a new one every time we see h
