- The Chaos War, also known as the Second Cataclysm, is a fictional war in the Dragonlance setting. The war was massive, drawing in nearly all the people of Ansalon, as well as the gods themselves. It follows the "Incredible Hercules" storyline written by Pak and Van Lente.

It follows the "Incredible Hercules" storyline written by Pak and Van Lente. The plot concerns a group of mythological gods and others assembled by the Greek god superhero Hercules to battle the Chaos King, the embodiment of the chaos and nothingness that preceded creation, which wants to wipe out all existence.
- The Chaos War took place after the fall of Alent in the First Age. As Alent left a huge power vacuum, Mardük decided to take over the world.
