The Old Pirate is a character in Fable: The Balverine Order. He is a member of Captain Rackam's crew. At one point, Thomas is not feeling too well and is sitting down. The old pirate approaches the two and starts a conversation with Thomas. He goes on about the Kraken and mythical creatures and how bad technology is and how the end is coming. When Thomas mentions balverines, the man seems interested, but when Thomas says he is looking for them, the man ends the conversation and mumbles to himself as he walks off. After the struggle with Rackam, the old pirate is behind him and just as ready to kill them as the others, but right then the Kraken attacks. After the first pirate is dragged down and everyone is trying to figure out what's going on, the old pirate is the first to yell, "Kraken!"

After the first pirate is dragged down and everyone is trying to figure out what's going on, the old pirate is the first to yell, "Kraken!" The boys observe the satisfaction in his voice and see that he might have smiled. While the attack is going on and the tentacles are grabbing the pirates, the old pirate stands still and is left unharmed by the tentacles. Unfortunately, when the ship starts to break in half, he is swept off deck by a large wave and disappears, but not before giving the boys a final salute.
