The Second Life Sailors group was founded by Loki Pico primarily so members can wear the "sailor" nametag while on the water. Some early efforts to maintain waterways were conducted before the now plentiful "protected waterways" existed. Many of the officers are boat builders and all of the members share in the enthusiam of boating in SL. Boating is a relaxing and unique way to see SL. The SL Sailors encourage everyone to buy (or build) a boat and get out on the water and explore. Membership is free to all.
