- Aviation is the practical aspect or art of aeronautics, being the design, development, production, operation and use of aircraft, especially heavier-than-air aircraft. The word "aviation" was coined by French writer and former naval officer Gabriel La Landelle in 1873, from the verb "avier" (synonymous flying), itself derived from the Latin word "avis" ("bird") and the suffix "-ation".
- Aviation: refers to an individuals capability to fly various forms of aircraft, including but not limited to single-engine airplanes, commercial jet liners, fighter jets and even space faring conveyances. Skilled pilots may also possess the aptitude for flying hover-crafts, single-person jet packs or space vessels. Although some individuals may be proficient with the inner workings of mechanical aircraft, this does not necessarily mean that they are an aviator or possess the aviation skill.
- Aviation (Hishō 飛翔) is the fifth episode of the Accel World Anime. It aired May 4th 2012 in Japan.
