The European fern bamboo is a species of fern bamboo native to much of Europe, even in England. They can grow to about 54 feet tall and can have a stem about 3 feet in diameter. They are mainly found in swamps, forests, marshes, and grasslands, but can survive in human settlements if conditions are right.
