After a brawl at the speech site, Baker and others were arrested, during which Baker decided to let undercover detectives James "Sonny" Crockett and Stan Switek into his circle, and as proof of their intentions, Crockett and Switek firebombed a Jewish restaurant (actually a condemned building) and arranged for Baker's message to be sent to the press through the reporter, Helen Jackson. Later, Baker's headquarters were broken into, someone took the disks of enemy data Baker had, and he immediately suspected Krebbs, but when Baker found him, Jackson was there too, and Jackson threw the disks at Baker that she took, then shot Baker and his partner Dwayne dead.
