  • A magic whistle is a tool which appears as a whistle when unidentified. When you apply a non-cursed magic whistle, any pets on the level will be teleported next to you. Even pets that are otherwise unable to move will be summoned, although they will still be unable to move. This is immensely useful both for keeping pets with you without a tedious wait at every down staircase and for speeding up the process of stealing from shops with the aid of a pet. A magic whistle can easily be distinguished from an ordinary tin whistle by the sound it makes.
  • Blowing the magic whistle while standing in the area where all of the mysterious statues are facing (under the tower to the northwest of Brimhaven) allows players to access the Fisher Realm. Attempting to blow the whistle anywhere else will display the following message: The whistle makes no noise. It will not work in this location.
  • To teleport to the Fisher King's realm, the magic whistle must be used below the tower located to the north-west of Brimhaven, north of the gold mines. To teleport back, players can just use the whistle anywhere in the Fisher King's realm. Magic whistle respawns are all around the Fisher King's realm and in Draynor Manor's top floor, if you're carrying the Holy table napkin. The alternative to a magic whistle is to use Fairy ring •• to go to the Fisher Realm. If you access the Fisher Realm this way, there are two magic whistle spawns to the west in and near the house with a stove.

  • The magic whistle is a quest item used in The Holy Grail quest. It is used for teleportation in and out of the Fisher King Realm from a plot of stone north-west of Brimhaven. One is also given to Sir Percival so that he can enter the realm in order to succeed his father, the fisher king.
A blessed eucalyptus leaf can also be used as a magic whistle when applied.
The magic whistle is kept by some players after the quest. By first using fairy ring •• and then using the magic whistle to leave the Fisher Realm, players have a convenient transportation to Karamja and to the Summoning obelisk (used to infuse pouches, and to restore your summoning points) near the tower the whistle goes to. If the whistle is blown in a place where it won't work, the player is told, "The whistle makes no noise. It will not work in this location." When blown in an area where it does work, a faint whistling noise can be heard.

Attempting to blow the whistle anywhere else will display the following message: The whistle makes no noise. It will not work in this location. If lost after the quest, another may be collected in the same manner as during the quest by using a holy table napkin, or if the player has access to the Fairy Rings, from any of several spawns within the Fisher Realm: one on a table inside the house in the northwest, one just outside this house, and one on a table just inside the castle.
